The 15th of Feb: LCF + Dash + W-Hotel!

Starting off with the launch of LCF New fashion interventions in materials and techniques. It's all done in a chronological order so read the text and you got the designers following right under.

After the exhibition I went to the launch of Dash that I wrote about in an earlier post this week.

Moved on from Dash to W-Hotel for the afterparty.

New in: COS and Yohji Yamamoto + re-soled Acne boots!

From the top you can see a leather key strap thingy that I got a few days ago from COS, think it was about £10, so it's a good budget purchase as the ones from Ann Demeulemeester, Damir Doma or random luxury designer retail for £100+.

Secondly from the top we got my new Yohji Yamamoto boots from A/W 11-12. Absolutely love these boots, perfect with the zipper on the side and the leather is soooo soft.

The sole is from Vibrant, which is very well known for their quality and mix of strong rubber. It's definetly a favourite of mine as they do seem to hold on for a lifetime!

Last but not least we got my absolute favourite boots from Acne 09, the reason why these are in this post is because I had to resole them and they were literally DEAD with the soles hanging loose as I've been wearing them every single day all the year around. Looking forward to tomorrow when I can wear them! :)

The new sole is from Vibrant aswell and I have to say that I almost prefer them with this sole in comparison to the old one. However he did polish the leather a tad bit to much, but that will wear off with time.

Tomorrow Im attending two events, one via LCF which is private to kind of start off the LFW on the 17th and secondly Dash Magazine launch party, get ready for loads of pictures!

DASH Magazine Launch Party @ 15th of February!

'DASH Magazine is a new bi-annual title that combines cutting-edge fashion editorial with traditional fashion illustration, bridging the gap between the hand rendered and digital.'

The magazine will be holding their official launch party on the 15th of this month in order to celebrate the release of their first issue!

Featuring loads of talented artists and people from the industry such as: Kate Moss, François Berthoud, Meriç Canatan, Spiros Halaris, Patrick Morgan, Joseph Turvey and James Forchione.

To me it sounds like a very interesting idea and concept, I certainly want to see the finished product if it is as good as it looks on the paper, literally speaking!

Björn Borg llights off event with Robyn @ the 16th of february!

"The iconic Battersea Power Station is set to be transformed into a Scandinavian wonderland with snow covered forests, saunas and hot tubs. The event will include the premiere of a 4D fashion film by Paris Kain using spray screen technology on the River Thames, performances by Robyn and I Blame Coco, a Bjorn Borg catwalk show featuring the latest collections including their glow in the dark range.

Store Guide London - Acne pt1!

I've decided quite recently to do a guide on all of my favourite stores in London. As I do know more or less every single clothing store worth knowing I figured it would be a good way of sharing with people who might not have had the chance to go here before or even Londoners looking for something new and interesting.

Starting of with Acne, located on Dover Street which is parallel to New Bond St, located in Mayfair, one of Londons slightly more posh areas, with loads of high end luxury shopping such as Dior, Prada, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Hermes Alexander Mc Queen and loads more.

Without counting the small concessions in numerous department stores around London, this would be Acnes only proper store, covering 4 floors of the brand! 

I really do like this place, not just due to the fact that they are selling Acne, (which happens to be a Swedish favourite) but also because of the open plan concept and the white interior covering the space all the way from the laminate floor to the amazing high ceiling, which can be seen on the 4th floor where I snapped these pictures. 

I think the reason why it's a bit of a favourite is because it reminds me of Sweden and my own home, which happens to be all white aswell.

Anyway, not going on for to long I would just like to say that It's definetly a store not to miss out on, and it just happens to be located right next to two other favourites on the same street, John Rocha and DSM!

Madonna Performing @ Super Bowl!

Madonnas performance from this years Super Bowl in Indianapolis. Entering the stage dressed in Givenchy, Philip Traecy, Miu-Miu and Bulgari! More than 115 million viewers in US were tuned in with a further billion worldwide, and as always there's no holding back when the pop princess enter the stage in a 12 minute performance with support by LFMAO,  Nicki Minaj, M.I.A and Cee Loo Green!
